Amarpal Singh Sidhu, Newarke Houses Museum Leicester, 22nd March 2017

Another great lecture was delivered as part of the exhibition Anglo Sikh Wars Battles, Treaties and Relics. Hosted by Gurinder Singh Mann head of the Sikh Museum initiative. Amarpal Singh Sidhu, historian and author gave an insight into the final battles of the second Anglo Sikh War. He compared and contrasted the battle of Chillianwallah with that of Gujerat. Whilst the Chillanwallah was seen as a win for the Sikhs, the British were able to regroup and defeat the Sikhs at Gujerat. The lecture was filmed by the SMI.

The lecture was attended by people from all across the UK.
